You will get there. It might not be as fast as you hoped or as ‘perfect’ of a journey. But your dreams are worth fighting for. So fight.
What you hold in your heart is your story, your truth. Do not be afraid of it – of the words you will speak, the thoughts you will construct, the blessings you will bring and carry.

As a writer, I’m often asked about my routine, what I do, how I find inspiration, etc. I decided to compile everything into this behind-the-scenes piece.
Writing is like that. It starts, not by writing, but by thinking. By forgetting. By re-remembering. By losing control and all sense of time, place, rules.
Maybe today’s words have no real meaning. Maybe they’re just spewed thoughts typed to a page. But it feels healing, in some way, just to say them.
It’s so frustrating to know that I’m pouring my heart out and someone’s plagiarizing it, pretending that it’s their words, their confessions, their heart.
Forgive us. For the snippets of you that find their way into a plot line, for the secrets you’ve whispered that somehow made it to the page. We’re passionate about both things—our words and you—sometimes we can’t keep them apart.
Loving a writer is not easy, I suppose.
We carry with us faded notebooks,
crinkled pages, and memories tucked away on folded napkins.
Words have a strength that surpasses what is spoken out loud. So I write for remembrance of all that I am, and all that I couldn’t say.
